What do we keep, and what do we never keep?

We keep as little as a free public tool can keep and still work: the report you generate, so that its link keeps working, and a salted hash of your connection address, so that one person cannot run the checker 500 times an hour. Everything else on this page is a list of things we do not do, which we think is the more useful half of a privacy page.

What do we store when I run a check?

• The report. The address you checked, the final address after redirects, the score, the grade, every check’s result and its one-line evidence, and the date. This is what the report link shows.
• Two screenshots of the page at desktop and mobile size, when the screenshot service is available, stored with the report.
• A hash of your IP address, salted, which cannot be turned back into the address. It exists to enforce the limit of 60 checks per hour per connection and is the only thing about you that a report row contains.
• Log entries for each check: the domain, the score and the timing, and each address on the site our fetcher asked for, with the answer it got. When something goes wrong, the error log records the domain, the page that was checked, an error code and a short note of up to 200 characters about what failed. Logs never hold your IP address or your email, and they are deleted after 90 days.

What do we never store?

• A copy of your page. The HTML is read, scored and discarded.
• Cookies of any kind. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The light and dark switch keeps its setting in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device.
• Ad tracking. There is no advertising pixel, no retargeting and no profile of you. The site loads its own stylesheet, its own script and its own fonts, plus one anonymous performance script from Cloudflare that measures page speed and uptime. It sets no cookies and does not identify you.
• Your email address for a report. The report has no email gate. The one email box on the site belongs to the Fix-It Guide, and an address given there is kept only with the report it unlocked, so the guide link keeps working; it is never sold and never joins a mailing list. The contact form keeps your message and address so we can answer, and nothing more.

Who else sees the address I check?

Two services, each seeing only what it needs. The screenshot provider is asked to render the page you gave us at two sizes and return the images; it receives the page address and nothing about you, and if it is unavailable the report simply has no screenshots. And when you unlock the Fix-It Guide or write through the contact form, the one notification we send ourselves travels through an email delivery service, the way any email does. The site you check sees a visit from our fetcher, which identifies itself honestly as AgentRank Website Checker in its user agent.

Do reports expire?

Not automatically. A report link is a random 16-character id that cannot be guessed or listed, and every report page is marked noindex so search engines and AI crawlers are told not to keep it. Reports are kept so that a re-check can show the difference against the previous one.

How do I have a report removed?

Use the removal request link, from an address at the domain in question or with something that shows the site is yours, and the report and its screenshots are deleted by hand.
