What do we keep, and what do we never keep?

We keep as little as a free public tool can keep and still work: the report you generate, so that its link keeps working, and a salted hash of your connection address, so that one person cannot run the checker 500 times an hour. Everything else on this page is a list of things we do not do, which we think is the more useful half of a privacy page.

What do we store when I run a check?

• The report. The address you checked, the final address after redirects, the score, the grade, every check’s result and its one-line evidence, and the date. This is what the report link shows.
• Two screenshots of the page at desktop and mobile size, when the screenshot service is available, stored with the report.
• A hash of your IP address, salted, which cannot be turned back into the address. It exists to enforce the limit of 5 checks per hour per connection and is the only thing about you that a report row contains.
• A one-line log entry per check with the domain, score and timing. Error logs record a domain and an error code, never an address or a message from the site.

What do we never store?

• A copy of your page. The HTML is read, scored and discarded.
• Cookies of any kind. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The light and dark switch keeps its setting in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device.
• Analytics or tracking scripts. The site loads its own stylesheet, its own script and its own fonts, and nothing from anyone else.
• Your email address. The report has no email gate. A later Fix-It Guide will ask for one, and that page will say what it does with it.

Who else sees the address I check?

One service: the screenshot provider, which is asked to render the page you gave us at two sizes and return the images. It receives the page address and nothing about you. If it is unavailable, the report simply has no screenshots. The site you check sees a visit from our fetcher, which identifies itself honestly as AgentRank Checker in its user agent.

Do reports expire?

Not automatically. A report link is a random 16-character id that cannot be guessed or listed, and every report page is marked noindex so search engines and AI crawlers are told not to keep it. Reports are kept so that a re-check can show the difference against the previous one.

How do I have a report removed?

Email [email protected] from an address at the domain in question, or with something that shows the site is yours, and the report and its screenshots are deleted by hand. The same address answers any other question about this page.
